With nearly twenty years experience in sales, marketing and real estate as well as being a part of a team which ranks in the top 1% of Realtors in the Silicon Valley I have been blessed with the opportunity to create a much needed program within our community. Tailored Transitions began as nothing more than an idea, a dream, and a desire…within a few short months it grew into a well respected program welcomed by both the clients we serve and the communities they have chosen to call home.

Many have asked, “What was your inspiration? What led to the creation of Tailored Transitions?” My answer is simple…it was one phone call, one client and one overall experience that led me to an amazing opportunity to serve an incredibly smart, wise and generous clientele!!!!

The experience I am speaking of began with an 82 year young woman who had recently lost her husband and had very little family in the area. Her house had become overwhelming to her, the stairs were becoming difficult to climb and both the housework and yard work were too much to handle on her own. As a result she made the decision to sell her home and move into a community that would allow her the freedom to continue doing the things she enjoyed while taking care of the “chores” that were becoming tedious and time consuming.

As we began walking this path together she and I spent a lot of time getting to know one another and spent many wonderful hours touring communities, asking questions and finding that perfect place for her to call home. The more time I spent with her the more engaged I became and the more admiration I felt for the life this woman has lived and the wisdom she so willingly shared.

At the same time I began to understand the extraordinary amount of work involved in the move she was about to make. She was not just moving to a new home, she was downsizing. In that process alone there was an incredible amount of physical labor, anxiety and at moments an overwhelming sense of fear and loss. In addition, she was not only going to have to find, but also allow into her home, the different services she would need for the purpose of gaining cost information. Imagine being 82, vulnerable and allowing strangers in your home! And it was in that moment of realization that Tailored Transitions began to take form!!!!

Today, much like the retirement communities our clients are moving into, our services allow our clients the freedom to make this transition and to make it seamlessly. In order to alleviate the stress and anxiety that goes along with such a move, Tailored Transitions literally “tailors” the downsizing process for each and every one of our clients. Each client has their own consultant who will provide them with the help they need and will do that with integrity, commitment and a real heart for helping.

Our goal is to achieve all of this in such a way that our clients feel well taken care of and yet feel empowered and in control of the move at all times. It is our sincere desire to connect with each and every one of our clients in order to really understand the outcome they would like to accomplish. Through our company core values it will become clear that we are a client centered organization and that our goals are ALWAYS in alignment with those of the individual we are serving.
